Family Rating - G for families with small children

Coming this summer from Icon Theatre Company, the lovable Clampett family rides onto the DeSoto stage for an evening of hillbilly hilarity. With a humble beginning in the Clampett's mountain cabin, the play follows them through the discovery of oil, their improbable invasion of hi-falutin' Beverly Hills society, and the absurd adventures and ridiculous romances they encounter there. They and the people they meet in "Californy" provide endless laughs and good family fun.

In conjunction with the show, the artwork of Lori K. Gordon will be featured in the theatre's gallery and may be seen before and after the show and during intermission. Lori made her debut appearance at the DeSoto Theatre during the Rome International Film Festival in August 2007 with her powerful and moving Katrina Collection, a response to Hurricane Katrina and the devastation the hurricane caused to the Gulf Coast.

Additional information about Lori K. Gordon, her life, and her work.

Lori has created a new series of work exclusively for Icon Theatre Company's production of The Beverly Hillbillies and will have the original paintings as well as prints on exhibit in the gallery.  These paintings portray the cast of characters in a vibrant, psychedelic style reminiscent of 1960s pop art.  Cast members will be available to sign prints after each performance.

Sneak preview of the paintings.
