One
of the most uproariously funny musicals in recent years, Urinetown
is a hilarious tale of greed, corruption, love, and revolution in
a time when water is worth its weight in gold. In a Gotham-like
city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year draught, has
led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens
must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent
company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity's
most basic needs. Amid the people, a hero decides he's had enough,
and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom! Inspired by
the works of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill, Urinetown is an
irreverently humorous satire in which no one is safe from
scrutiny. Praised for reinvigorating the very notion of what a
musical could be, Urinetown catapults the “comedic romp” into the
new millennium with its outrageous perspective, wickedly modern
wit, and sustained ability to produce gales of unbridled laughter. |

Families with young children

The Gift of The Magi
tells the poignant story of two young, impoverished
newly-weds-Jim and Della Dillingham of New York City in the
early 1900’s-finding themselves on their first Christmas Eve
together as husband and wife with no Christmas present for
the other and little money to purchase that special gift
each very, very much wants to buy for the other. What Jim
and Della do on Christmas Eve to acquire the money needed to
buy that special gift shows forth true love. |

You may remember the name of
Elliot Gillespie, most people do. He made the news the day
he arrived in this world. A passing fame born from tragedy.
Few remember the infant that lost his father to a
horrible hospital accident during delivery. But it is
difficult to forget the news that Elliot Gillespie made when
he became a man. However, this is not the story that you
have heard, because this is
not the story of Elliot Gillespie, this is the story of who
Elliot
truly was inside, this is the story of Lance Windchaser.
Caught in the everyday drab of suburban life, Lance knew he
was destined for more . . . much more. |
